Audio description is a verbal description of a play or other theatrical performance, film or a sports event allowing people who are blind or partially sighted to follow visual content. In an audio description, the voice-over concisely describes the images and action which are significant to a full understanding of the content. For example, facial expressions, the plot, the setting, the costumes and the behaviour of the audience may be described. Using audio description, a person who is blind or partially sighted can participate in the event or follow the developing plot and so gain access to cultural capital.
We provide audio description services for:
- Sports events
- Museum collections
- Theatrical performances
- Entertainment events.
We arrange radio transmission systems, which allow blind people to listen to audio description using their mobile phones or dedicated receivers with headphones.
